Nothing damages trust faster than making patients wonder whether they will still have access to their healthcare. During the contract dispute with Premera, MultiCare left countless patients caught in the middle of a financial conflict, creating unnecessary stress and uncertainty about their ability to continue receiving care. For an organization that frequently promotes its commitment to patients, this situation sent a very different message. The apparent focus seemed to be on financial negotiations rather than on protecting patients' access to care, peace of mind, and continuity of treatment. Healthcare should never be used as a bargaining chip, and patients should not be treated as collateral damage in contract disputes. This experience has left me questioning whether patient well-being is truly the top priority when financial interests are at stake. Patients deserve better. I have been a MultiCare patient for over 20 years, and this dispute has done something no medical experience ever has: it has made me seriously consider taking my healthcare elsewhere. This is my first pregnancy. I have seen Midwives Ellen G. and Cydnee H. and they are absolutely amazing! 🙌🏻 I give only one star because of labs. So far I have had to do a few labs and each time it has been a bad experience. The first time I was yelled at by a security guard when I was simply following instructions I was given, and for simply reading the sign at the lab downstairs. When I tried to explain I had a timed glucose test that had to be done within an hour (I was given a specific paper for the lab to show the front desk, no one was there so i was trying to figure it out) the security lady would not let me speak and just kept yelling at me to “just sit down”. She was very hostile. The most recent time they were unable to draw blood because they didn’t take me back in time which was frustrating since I had taken time off work specifically for the glucose test and had stayed and waited.

I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Von Chang within a week. I was sent a reminder of my appointment and once I checked in, it was just a few minutes before I was called back. The nurse was great, and of course, Dr Von Chang is super too!

Dr. Chang has been my personal physician for decades. He is thorough and helpful with all of my issues of the moment and health care needs. His Nurse and assistant, Lavette, has always been exceptionally professional and engaged, with my health interests. Your front desk administrators are friendly and efficient. Dr Lu and his nurse are THE BEST, very helpful, very patient, take a moment to talk. I always feel like my concerns are heard. I also love that when i need an appt i never have to wait for long.
